We all know we age, have you ever wondered why our age shows on your face? Check out these 5 reasons why our face ages.
1. Environment
Particularly in Australia, the amount of time we spend in the sun and elements can have a noticable effect on the speed our appearance.
A study of two twins in the US showed one twin who spent more time outdoors in a sunnier climate with a visible age difference of over 11 years compared to her twin who lived in colder climate predominantly indoors.
2. Bony changes
When we are young the bony skeleton around our area is a round shape. As we age that round shape distorts and changes to a more oblong shape. These bony changes in combination with the changes to the fat compartments result in shrinkage and loose excess skin.
3. Fat Comparments
As we age the fat compartments move and shrink causing loss of volume. These bony changes in combination with the changes to bony skelton in our face result in shrinkage and loose excess skin.
4. We All Age
Unfortunately, it is a fact of life. Even someone as beautiful as Elizabeth Taylor could not maintain her youthful look.
5. Genetics
As we age the fat compartments move and shrink causing loss of volume. These bony changes in combination with the changes to bony skelton in our face result in shrinkage and loose excess skin.
