If you are considering breast augmentation surgery with implants, or have recently undergone the procedure, you’ll be pleased to know the results of recent extensive testing in the USA.
The American Study looked at the safety and efficacy and the incidence of complications following Breast Augmentation using Natrelle (Style 410) in 941 patients over a 6-year period.
A third of these patients had MRI scans twice a year. The risk of Capsular Contracture was just 4.6% (Capsular contracture is the formation of tightly woven collagen fibres created by the immune system in response to foreign materials surgically applied to the body such as artificial joints or breast implants.)
The most common reason for undergoing the surgery again was elective; to change the shape or size of the implant.
More than 95% of patients who had Breast Augmentation using Natrelle Implants were satisfied. The Natrelle 410 Breast implants are a 5th Generation, form-stable silicone Breast Implant made by Allergan, USA. It is a FDA approved Breast Implant that is currently available in Australia.
The findings support the choice for Natrelle silicone implants for Breast Augmentation surgery, for both aesthetics and safety. Natrelle’s low complication and high satisfaction rates make them a very appealing option.
