It has been well documented that breast augmentation improves body image and self-esteem but does it also help improve body posture?
Surgeons in Italy analysed the postural changes in 48 patients following breast augmentation surgery by studying body position, centre of gravity, orientation, and center of pressure.
A retro positioning of the upper part of the body, with a slight retro positioning of the head and a compensatory anterior positioning of the pelvis was noted after breast augmentation Surgery. In other words, posture throughout the entire spine improved.
It has been observed that women who perceive them selves to have under-developed breasts may stoop or slouch trying to hide what they consider a deficiency.
