LOWER EYELID SURGERY OPTIONS

D- OPTIONS

 

If you discussed combining procedures on the same surgery date below are estimate guides for adding those procedures.  Please note if you proceed with the below procedure as stand alone different fees will apply.  If selecting one of the below options a formal estimate will be requested from the hospital. 

 

1. Add on Fat Transfer or Cosmetic Browlift - recommended procedure fees + $5000

 

2. Add on Radio frequency tightening - recommended procedure fees + $6200

 

3. Add on Radio-frequency tightening + Fat transfer - recommended procedure fees + $6500

 

4. Upper ptosis plus lower extended blepharoplasty 4.5 hours - approximately $26,000-$30,000 depending on hospital choice.

 

5. Upper ptosis plus lower neck/facelift 6 hours - approximately $41,000-$45,000.

 

 

Cosmetic surgery does not attract medicare/fund rebates.  Self funded fees are a guide only.

 

 

INFORMED FINANCIAL CONSENT NOTES

 

DR SOMIA

A $1500 non refundable deposit is required to book your surgery date and is due 2 weeks from accepting a date for surgery. The balance of Dr Somia’s fee is due 4 weeks before. In the event of cancellation within 4 weeks of the surgery date 30% of Dr Somia's fee is due. Receipts will be issued at your post-operative visit. Valid for 3 months & includes 6 months follow-up.

 

ANAESTHETIST

The anaesthetist will contact you the day before surgery regarding payment (above is a guide). If the listed surgical time extends $800 per hour is payable. Dr Koh 0403153275 Dr Miles 02 88502938

 

HOSPITAL

Cosmetic procedures are not covered by health funds.  Fees are due the week of surgery.

This is a guide only for Lakeview Private Hospital.  Other hospitals may have different fees. A formal hospital estimate will be obtained. Notes: In the event of a complication or listed surgical time extends you may be liable for added fees.  Extra fees will apply for in-hospital pathology testing. Please factor in an additional nights accommodation in the event of a complication.

SURGICAL ASSISTANT

Dr Somia has a surgical assistant. In the event the listed surgical time extends $220 per hour is payable.

 

REVISION

We cannot guarantee how the body will respond to surgery. Complications during the healing period, skin quality and other factors may result in the need for revision surgery. Some health fund's view revision surgery as cosmetic. If revision surgery is required there will be no additional change for Dr Somia. You will be liable for anaesthetist/hospital fees.

 

ESTIMATE EXPIRY

Dr Somia’s fee valid for 3 mths. Other fees subject to change.
