YELLOW SPOTS

Yellow Spots on the eyelid are known as Xanthelesma. Yellow spots or lumps are a common type of xanthoma that appears on the eyelids; the condition is almost twice as common in females. Yellow Spots most commonly occur on the upper eyelid however may appear on the lower.

While patients report their main concern to be aesthetic, it is important to rule out any underlying medical condition. A blood test is performed to rule out abnormal cholesterol or lipid levels as the cause. Precise surgical removal of yellow spots delivers a clear successful outcome.
